Pao by Paul Qui, located in the luxurious Faena Hotel in Miami Beach, offers an extraordinary dining experience that beautifully blends modern Asian flavors with an elegant atmosphere. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a striking golden dome and an oval-shaped dining room, enriched with earthy materials like wood and moss, creating a warm yet modern vibe.
Diners rave about signature dishes, particularly “The Unicorn,” which stands out for its delightful complexity. The Ora king salmon also receives high praise, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture complemented by explosive flavors from pineapple. Each plate is a testament to Chef Paul Qui's culinary skill, ensuring an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Virginia “ItalianaVera” G. highlights the dessert, specifically the chocolate sorbet dish, stating it creates "fireworks in [her] mouth." However, some dishes, like the Fried Chicken starter, have been critiqued for their simplicity. The atmosphere is further enhanced by attentive service and choices like a cozy booth to enjoy live jazz, making it ideal for impressing business partners or indulging in a romantic night out.
Overall, Pao by Paul Qui is a must-visit for gastronomes seeking unique flavors and an upscale ambiance, promising an experience that lingers long after the last bite.

As you make your way up the marbled staircase reaching Pao’s entrance, a golden dome and oval shaped dining room welcome you. The overall modern ambiance is softened by the golden ceiling and the earthy materials (wood and moss) present throughout the dining room. The dining experience is an exciting one; the modern Asian cuisine offered at this restaurant will allow for new pleasant discoveries. Starting from the signature dish of the restaurant, “The Unicorn” , (which was my personal favorite and a MUST ORDER) to the scallop and rice noodle main course, delicate and well balanced dishes made it to our table and in our bellies . A special mention goes to the Chocolate dessert as the contrast of the sorbet with the creaminess of the chocolate and caramelized fruits created different consistencies that lit fireworks in my mouth. The one and only down side was the Fried Chicken starter as I believe is something that can be found in mediocre Chinese restaurants because of its simplicity and dull taste. This restaurant is great for those who want to impress and share a unique culinary experience with business partners and loved ones. I will be back expecting more!

The Ora king salmon was our absolute favorite - the seared sake toro melts in your mouth as well as the Ora king salmon dish with pineapple all of the flavors explode in your mouth. To finish our favorite dessert was the coconut sorbet half shell! 10/10 experience between food and ambiance, we sat outside which was quieter than inside. Be ready to spend though!

Our evening at Faena Hotel was truly unforgettable. We started with the amazing Carmen Cabaret in the theater, which was an incredible performance and a fantastic way to begin the night. Afterward, we had dinner at Pao by Paul Qui, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect. Special thanks to Cristian, the GM, who made sure everything was perfect, Kevin, the bartender, who crafted amazing cocktails, and Marco, our server, who provided excellent service throughout the evening. I highly recommend both the theater and Pao for an unforgettable night in Miami Beach!

The braised greens with crab, complemented by jasmine rice, offered a perfectly balanced sauce, greens, and protein ratio—truly a comforting dish. Our waiter, Jed, recommended a ceviche that was equally spectacular, demonstrating his excellent knack for suggestions. The Kinka sake, with its delightful floral notes, paired exquisitely with our meal. Don't miss out on the wagyu and the unique corn ice cream for dessert. For a more elevated and romantic experience, opt for a booth for two and enjoy the live soft jazz music. It truly enhances the ambiance."

We came here because of Chef Pao. Each single dish Olga picked based our preference just fits our taste of buds perfectly. We enjoyed each bit of It. Pao is the chef who definitely knows how to cook, not just rely on the dish representation. We definitely want to come back.

Elegant atmosphere and really delicious dishes. We had the scallops with the black noodles which was the highlight. The wagyu was amazing also, along with the fried chicken and mushroom steak. They really should light up the Damien Hurst horse in the center of the drining room!
